Recent Editor Changes

Recently I made quite a few changes to the "Blog Entry" editor screen. I think I went a bit too far. I lost the Upload/Insert image functionality and I've got a bug report on IE. Also, for large entries, the text box tends to grow way too big.

So - folks - those of you running the very latest - can you give me some feedback? Do you agree? I think I may just remove the auto-grow textbox, restore the links, and see how that rolls.

Raymond Camden's Gravatar As just an FYI, I've removed the auto-grow, increased the min-size, and fixed IE issues. I also re-added the links for image crap. This is all in SVN and I'd appreciate it if folks could give it a shot.

Mark Christie's Gravatar Hi Ray about to upgrade to .002 I use fckeditor and some home grown code which I always blame when something goes wrong. Seeing your note on IE has prompted me to write in. In IE when I edit an entry (not create one) I can change items in text fields, drop down boxes (eg released from Yes to No) but as soon as I click off or the mouse leaves the area that contains the form, it jumps to the comments tab page. I will upgrade to .002 and see what happens. Works fine on Chrome and yes I know I should probably use firefox and hand code the html into my textbox... but there's too much life to live. Love your work.

Kumar's Gravatar Ray,

I got some of the files from SVN related to the admin side, mainly the entry cfms and the js/css files. This looks much better. I use IE and looks like the IE issues have been fixed.

I generally don't use the image loaders insert functionality, as I get a permission denied error and I can just code the HTML to point to the correct image easily. But having the Upload functionality from the entry section is awesome.

Raymond Camden's Gravatar Cool. As a warning, SVN contains some stuff now that isn't ready for prime time. Be careful.
